Our Story
The Wax That Started as a Fix and
Became a Family Legacy
When Dad (George) first made what’s now known as our OG Wax, it wasn’t part of some grand plan.
He was just trying to clean and restore his collection of antique tools — tools that had seen decades of hard work and deserved better than the goop he kept finding on the shelves.
Everything out there left a sticky mess, smelled awful, or simply didn’t work. So he did what he’s always done best: rolled up his sleeves, went to the garage, and started experimenting.
After a lot of trial and error (and a few choice words I won’t repeat), he nailed it — a formula that cleaned, nourished, and protected without the greasy residue. It was simple, effective, and brought those old tools back to life like nothing else.
We started using it on everything — furniture, metal, leather — and then word got out. Before long, Dad’s “magic wax” was being passed from one craftsman to another, and Wood Lover’s Wax was born.
Then came the next question, over and over again: “Could you make one like this that’s food safe?”
Dad thought about it for a while, and then went back to work. Same process. Same perfectionism. Same high standards. That’s how our Food Safe Wax came to be — made with just two simple ingredients: 100% Pure USA Beeswax and NSF Certified Food Grade Mineral Oil.
It’s crafted for kitchens and chefs, for the people who love their cutting boards and butcher blocks as much as Dad loved his tools.
